FOCUS Befriending and Mentoring Service with PramaLife

PramaLife can offer you, as an informal carer, help and support by introducing volunteer befrienders or mentors, to enable you to have someone to support you to access the community, or support and advise you in your caring role.

BEFRIENDING is a good way to have someone to talk to, either in person or over the phone. A befriender will be able to take you out and introduce you to other social activities that you may be interested in. We will endeavour to match you with a likeminded volunteer.

We have a team of MENTORS, many of whom have been carers themselves, who have volunteered to support and advise someone who is maybe new to care or is struggling to know which way to turn. They can also support with applications for benefits and allowances.

This service is offered in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area.

If you are interested in either befriending or mentoring, please call us on 01202 207300.
