We hold various events at Durlston Country Park, including many free events where donations are welcome. Please check our website for details of dates of when the events are taking place. Events marked with the forget-me-not symbol are suitable particularly for those with dementia. There are also sessions at Durlston Shed which are open to all but particularly suitable for people with dementia.
Durlston Country Park:
There are many events throughout the year at Durlston, including:
- Meet a moth* - join us to look through last night's trap with a friendly volunteer - no walking required
- Clifftop tour* - a gentle half-hour stroll along the clifftop. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the sea
- Castle Tour - free half-hour tour of Durlston Castle with a friendly volunteer. Lifts available to all levels
- Dementia friendly stroll* - a half-hour relaxed stroll along easy terrain through the meadow
*Please note these events do not take place over the winter.

The Shed is an accessible community work base which welcomes anyone to socialise, learn new skills, and volunteer in support of Durlston Country Park. There are sessions are the Shed every week, with volunteers welcome to try a variety of wood-working, gardening, crafts, and DIY projects. No commitment or experience needed - you can even just pop in for a chat.
The Shed welcomes people of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities, dementia or long term health problems. There are tasks to suit everyone, so do feel welcome along, join in, and enjoy volunteering in the wonderful woodland setting at Durlston Country Park.
